Don't Make Her Look Fat

As a webmaster I have to have permission to use some of the content I post on my webpages. That includes some images as well as some text, scripts, and maps or other content that may be protected or is not wanted to be used by the owner without special permission. So when I decided to use a picture of Victoria Secret Angel, Adriana Lima on my Cidon's Lair book website, I joined her fan club site on facebook. I'm hoping that will make it favorable that I captured her image and posted it on my Fiction website. http://web-ev.angelfire.com. Her beauty and her personality are extremely Execeptional by any means. I noticed, however, that there were some unfavorable comments posted on her fan club site. I decided they were just people who have nothing better to do than grouse. Even though there were pornographers involved. I personally don't have issues with Playboy being the devil or anything like that. I have sometimes looked at some of their pictures, who hasn't? And their models are beautiful women even if they rely heavily on nudity to promote themselves. However, when a pornographer tries to promote their subjects as being superior to a beautiful and famous personality; I get suspicious of their motives. Then I found that someone was increaing the width dimension of the image on my website, obviously they were trying to make Adriana look fat in the picture. It wasn't malicious, just a prank. I still decided to contact Lycos support about the fact that someone was using my password to infringe on my source code. I did mention, however, that she still looked very beautiful, even with the increased weight.

It was in 1983 that I visited Axum and learned at first hand about Ethiopia's audacious claim to be the last resting place of the Ark of the Covenant. I had been living in Africa at the time. In 1984 I moved to England with my family. Nevertheless in the years that followed I continued to travel regularly to Addis Ababa, producing a number of publications for the government and generally strengthening my contacts with those in power - including President Mengistu Haile Mariam himself. The dictator had a bad reputation for abusing human rights but I cultivated him assiduously and won a number of useful privileges as a result - notably access to many areas that were normally closed to foreigners. If I had wanted to look further into the Ark mystery there is no doubt that I would have been strongly placed to do so. I was just not interested, however. I therefore did not feel even a tinge of regret when, at the end of 1988, the forces of the Tigray People's Liberation Front launched a massive offensive against Axum and captured it in a single day of bloody hand-to-hand fighting - during which more than two thousand of the government's troops were killed or captured. At that stage my envolvement with the Mengistu regime had become so close that the rebels' success meant the doors of the sacred city were now effectively closed to me. But I had no particular reason to want to go back there anyway. Or at least so I thought.

What does it mean when a ruler bows to the representative of another government? It means he is being submissive. This is no great revelation. For millennia visiting dignitaries have bowed to the king who held the most power or influence. They offered gifts so that their country would be held in favor and so that the king would be assuaged from making war with them and carrying away everyone and everything held by the inferior country. But this was no guarantee of safety. Warring kings were pre-disposed to use military might to advance their kingdoms and put more gold in their coffers by attacking weaker kingdoms. This is especially true of any kingdom that was perceived to be weak. So bowing was really more than just submission. By showing weakness the visiting representative was putting his kingdom more squarely on the chopping block. In China and Japan, bowing is examined closely to determine the attitude of the parties involved. Eagerness to bow and hesitation are both seen as signs of, respectively, submission or a lack of cooperation.

I think there has been more than enough cooperation with the nations which don't take human rights as seriously as they should. Now I'm not saying that the U.S. needs to posture itself for an attitude of aggression. I'm just saying that it does not look good for US in more ways than one. Let's just try going back to the handshake as a gesture of good will. Submission is not good will. It is willing to be held as an inferior.

The Judeo-Christian Mask

Alright, this one you need to hear. There is no use candy coating the Word anymore. Jews and Christians all wear a mask. Even when exposed to the monumental horror and love of the crucifixion of Christ; the mask never comes off. It is a mask that says: "I am not like the other beasts. I am not an animal. I am a respectable human being." But what about the truth? The Bible says "the truth faileth them." How can truth fail? I'll tell you how. When you see yourself as being above the morass of human existence; immune to the lusts and the fears and the degradation; you wear a mask. It is NOT a mask of deception. It is a mask of pride. It is one that shows the truth of what you feel about yourself and the world around you.

The mask gathers respect, prosperity, popularity, and sometimes even fame. It is an expression of all that is good and desirable and acceptable to those you wish to please. It succeeds as long as it doesn't gather too many marks of worldly stain. To be stained is a sentence to ostracism and darkness and even sometimes death. Don't think that I will be moved to think that I can change your view of the person who has been stained by life. I wouldn't make that mistake. I have seen how that attitude persists in you all. Christians sit under the admonition of a preacher who tries to coax them to love one another and then go home and think of someone to criticize and then spread gossip. Not you? Let him who is without sin remain without sin and let the mask of true intent demonstrate your goodness for all the world to see.

A clown is a lowly creature who abases himself or herself in order to bring joy to the wearers of the true mask. Those who sit in judgment over the entertainment praise the talent and the technique of the entertainer with laughter and applause. All the while thinking: "I could never be seen in that way. It would be too embarrassing. I'd rather risk the trapeze or the high wire than live with grease smeared on my face that reveals my true humanity." No? How many have dreamed of being such an entertainer rather than one who wears the genuine respect of his or her audience? Well, count yourself blessed. For he that exalts himself shall be abased and he that humbles himself shall be exalted. Again, that is he or she.

Why have you again failed to discern the time? You should be fighting to exert your energy to uplift the human spirit. That's right; for all humans. You should praise the ones who strip themselves of all the covering of pride to let nothing hinder or come between themselves and them they serve to enlighten. Even if that means stripping themselves naked before a spotlight and behaving foolishly in front of God and everyone that wears a mask. Damn it, we are all naked before God and always have been. We only wear a covering to stay warm and to try to hide what is in our faces and in our hearts. Be not deceived. One who is disciplined and who has inherited the mind of Christ through the blood of the same can read it all in your face. Even if you are hiding what is good and decent about yourself. You know this is the truth.

And when you turn your back on one who has done every conceivable act to try to shed light on your face and uplift your spirit you demean all of us. Don't think that your knack for words can cover your pride and make you above reproach. Moses has given his reproach, Jesus has reproached you and even a loser reproaches you for pretending you have evolved. Even a beast knows how to show compassion and humor. Even a beast who will steal, kill, and destroy. Does that not make you giddy with laughter? You can all suck it!

Then there are exceptional people who work their way into prosperity, or fame, or both without wearing much of a mask, but they risk the stain of degradation by leaving themselves exposed to ridicule and shame. Yet there are some you can't shame. There are some who wear compassion like a crown; not a mask.

Run With The Name

Would the Lord Jesus give his name to someone and let them run with it? Well, what do you think CHRISTians have been doing these millennia? If he were here he would tell you to stop smokin', get fit, say no, and BE a witness. All the meetings and retreats in the world won't replace that. If you have been "thinking" about tossing your name in the ring with Him, stop thinking. There really is no time... People are suffering and dying in darkness now! You can't reach them all with the internet. It is not possible. Help send native missionaries into the field to evangelize. They are dying to do it. You would not believe how many have been saved by someone who just knew John 3:16.

Soon the Lord will render His judgement for all the sin and sloth of this world, saying:

"You have been measured in the balances of God and have been found to be wanting."

There are no decades left to ponder the stars in search of a sign that has already been given at countless times and in countless ways. The law has been given and the Spirit of the law has been broken. There will be no more prophets, neither men of God who render unto men the truth of the Spirit of God.

The angels of the Lord will reap a harvest of blood without relent for the relentless sin of man and his disdain of mercy and forbearance. The hand of mercy has been offered by God; covered with the abiding refuge of His son. There will no more choirs sing or children play in the fields and the streets of perdition will be on every hand filled with dying souls. Men and women will be brought ever so much lower than they are now and there will be no remedy for the despair. How will you be able to say "We did not hear it. No one spoke of it." For here is your warning and you heed it not.

The die has been cast and the mold has been formed in the hands of the Holy One who lives forever and has respect of no man save by the love in his heart and the faith in his soul. Cry unto the mountains and make a bridge over the oceans and
yet see that no one makes a path toward deliverance, None save the Lord.

Therefore when the music stops and there is no one to offer up praise any more; remember that God was merciful and Man neither regarded it or assimilated it. The prophets will cease their prophesies and the bride will be brought to the feast.Then the bride will be blessed and given a voice that will reach to the uttermost places of the world.

And the Lord will remember that you were once lost in the battle but have been found. And what will you be found doing?

Stop and think about it.

The Real Culprit: Spiritual Darkness

My hosts in the southern U.S. city where I was preaching at a mission conference had thoughtfully booked me into a motel room. It was good to have a few minutes alone, and I looked forward to having some time for prayer and Scripture meditation.

While settling in, I flipped on the big TV set that dominated the room. What burst on the screen shocked me more than anything I had ever seen in America. There in beautiful color was an attractive woman seated in the lotus position teaching yoga. I watched in horror and amazement as she praised the health benefits of the breathing techniques and other exercises of this Eastern religious practice. What her viewers did not know is that yoga is designed for one purpose only--to open up the mind and body to the false gods of the East.

Because this American yogi was dressed in a body suit, claimed a Ph.D. degree and was on educational TV, I assume many of the viewers were deceived into believing this was just another harmless exercise show. But those of us born and raised in nations dominated by the powers of darkness know that hundreds of Eastern religions are marketing themselves in the United States and Canada under innocuous- even scientific- sounding-- brand names.

Few Westerners, when they see news reports of the poverty, suffering and violence in Asia, take time to stop and ask why the East is bound into an endless cycle of suffering while Western nations are so blessed.

Secular humanists are quick to reel out many historic and pseudo scientific reasons for the disparity, because they are unwilling to face the truth. But the real reason is simple: The Judeo-Christian heritage of Europe has brought the favor of God, while false religions have brought the curse of Babylon on other nations.

Mature Christians realize the Bible teaches there are only two religions in this world. There is the worship of the one true God, and there is a false system invented in ancient Persia. From there, Persian armies and priests spread their faith to India, where it took root. Its missionaries in turn spread it throughout Asia. Animisim and other Asian religions have a common heritage in this one religious system.

Because many Westerners are unaware of this fact, Eastern mysticism is able to spread in the West through pop culture, rock bands, singers and even university professors. The media have become the new vehicle for the spread of spiritual darkness by American gurus.

The Great and Notable Day of the Lord

Read Acts 2:19-36

19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: Mat. 24:29; Mark 13:24; Luke 21:25

You would think that seeing such sights in the heaven would prompt the most steadfast scoundrel to re-think his or her decision to steer clear of the Lord. Actually, similar scenes have been witnessed before now; and did it do the task of changing minds about Jesus? One can only hope that they did.

Faced with the peril of a volcano; wouldn't anyone cry out the name of the Lord and grasp for salvation? The mind reels, the soul trembles, and the Spirit hovers over it. Surely such great danger would cause you to seek out the Lord quickly and without reservation. I know I hope so. But would you turn to your creator for fear of the torment of one moment.

A man comes to mind who stayed in his home while Mt. Saint Helens erupted. I could tell you his name but that is matter of public record. He decided willfully to remain rather than be forced from his home that he loved more than life itself. What courage did it take to make such a decision in the face of hell itself? The record states that there was no one to hear him in his time of anguish. Still, any Christian soul would believe that he must have cried out the one name that could offer hope of release from that hell.

When my time comes, I know, to face death I will have his name on my lips because it has happened more than once. And do you think it will be any different for you? When a warrior meets death on the field of honor or a workman stumbles on his death, or a mother dies in the pain of childbirth, or anyone is victimized by the spectre of death; would they not speak that name that is whispered in the wind. Maybe you're not superstitious and you aren't even frightened the least bit by death or corruption or crucifixion.

Maybe the cross isn't your icon and the blood isn't your refuge but someday you will speak that name with conviction or feel the power of it. Will you then believe?

For every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Say it isn't prophesy. Call it a lie. Would you then contradict the Word?

When the Spirit Came

The most notable observation you can make about Pentacost at its onset is that all the apostles were there and they were of one mind. The power of God is made manifest when believers assemble and surrender their wills so as to align themselves with what God wants to do. Don't question how you could know the will of God in any situation. That is what Pentacost was all about. If you glean anything from Acts 2 it should be that the Lord was making himself known before all those who were present. His words were spoken in other tongues because the people who came near spoke several different languages which were known in that region and in that time. The scripture does not say that they uttered. Acts 2 says the Spirit game them utterance. Every language in use there was represented in the words that the Spirit gave utterance to.

AND WHEN the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

Now, are we to believe that every time the Spirit works; either in the church or in the street that it will take place this same way? As I wrote above: 'The power of God is made manifest when believers assemble and surrender their wills so as to align themselves with what God wants to do.' It is a question of what it is exactly that God wants to do at the time and in that place. Again you would ask: "How can we know what it is that God wants to do?"

Hebrews 10:16

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

After what days? Chapter 10 is relating about the time when the yearly sacrifice was offered. Therefore Hebrews 10:16 "after those days" is the time of the new dispensation which we all came under when the Lord sent the Holy Spirit at the day of Pentecost. Then it is the Holy Spirit that administers the Word in our hearts and minds when we avail ourselves with His presence.

Smooth Talking Women

My mother always said: "When a dog brings you a bone; it always takes one back." I was never sure, at first, just what she meant by that. I knew that she was talking about women. She always shared what she knew about women with me. You see, being one gave her great insight into that world that men claim they know nothing about. The truth is, we don't want to know too much about the workings of the minds of women. But you see, I did. Well I was taught what some women would do to stir things up. Even sweet little Jaci Velasquez admits that she loves the drama. It brings out the deep feelings that others (men, specifically her man) seldom allow to see the surface.

However, I think you would agree, there are some things which should not be tossed about for everyone's perusal. Yes, that's right, I'm talking about gossip. When an ex-navy man or anyone says: "Loose lips sink ships." they are talking about people who just don't know how to keep anything to themselves. That can be dangerous; in a tavern on enemy ground, or in the local church, barber shop, or other social watering hole. Lives have been destroyed by the slip of a tongue. Sometime it would be better if we didn't acquire secrets. Never-the-less, if we have them we should keep them safe from the ears of someone who drips knowledge like a warm honeycomb.

The words of a woman can be sweet to a man. Never think that men only use their eyes. That is a lie straight out of hell. Men listen with as much intensity as a woman does and they carry what they know around with them and use it when the situation presents itself. However, men communicate more when faced with the outpourings of a strange woman. By strange I don't mean one that dresses funny on the sidewalk in the city like a clown or a bag lady. Excuse me, I mean a homeless person. Don't think I look down on clowns either. Clowns have been some of the greatest entertainers known to men. My mother-in-law was a clown (is a clown). Don't laugh.
I'm talking about a very interesting woman. One who has lived in several places and managed quite well to stay tuned-in to her environment. I mean she took training as a real clown just to expand herself and improve her ability of self-expression. She could tell you things about the people in a church that you would never guess were true even if you thought hard about it. But she wasn't one to gossip. Unless, of course, you interrogated her.

There is concern over the state of the educational system in this country, US. There are illegal, illicit drugs pouring in from the south, US. There are many in the east who still haven't released their fear and hate of US.

There are rapidly decreasing solutions for pollution. There are polar bears trying to swim the ocean. US/not all our fault.

At a time when bad politics and global warming are making it tough for even the strongest countries (because of decreasing fresh water and the threat to wildlife) to survive. There are diseases that resist the treatment engineered by our greatest living phDs. There is insomnia, dysfunctionality, depression, anxiety, fear, mistrust, domination, envy, stress, and strife. Now there is now 2012 and the complications introduced by the anticipation of yet another disaster; the largest known in the US. Our problems and our enemies who make many of our promlems are increasing.

So what can we do?
Psalm 3:3-8 read it daily and gaze into the heavens. Our children may appreciate it. Selah.

We all need to know if we are going about prayer right. There are a number of things that can effect our prayer life; not the least of which is not knowing how to pray. The book, "Friendship with God" gives us four principles of Prayer as well as four ways God answers prayer. Have you ever been approached in church about taking on a position of some importance; singing, teaching Sunday school, catering, lay minister or other.
And did the position ever go to someone else? What do you do in that case; especially if you believe you are called to serve the Lord in some capacity. Well what you should do is thank God that you were thought of to assume a position of great privilege. That being an opportunity to serve Him in any capacity.

All of the apostles were given the responsibility of carrying on for Jesus after he was miraculously transmuted into Heaven soon after his resurrection. Of course, Paul had been given the Great Commission by virtue of the bond that Jesus had made with him in revealing himself supernaturally and drawing him out of the San Hadron where he was allotted the simplest of tasks to carry out. Being a Roman and from an influential background, Paul must have felt out of place there.

However, the Holy Spirit took him away from all that when the Angel appeared to him. For the Angel was Jesus and Jesus had plans for him that didn't include temple duties. But why wasn't Paul given the bishopric in the authority issued from the Book of Psalms. The simple reason is that Paul couldn't be a true witness since he had not seen the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. He was however a witness to the Spirit of the Lord when Jesus appeared to him close to Damascus.

But how could Paul preach about the resurrection of Christ when he hadn't witnessed it?

What was the sin of Judah?

The Lord had been patient with Israel, and had not honored the words of their prophets when they spoke their own words and not the WORD of the Lord. He had watched as they had spoiled the tabernacle of the Lord and destroyed His tent, leaving Him without a place where He could be honored by His own people. There was no one who would set up His tabernacle, and they had disobeyed Him.

The pastors behaved as brutes and did not seek the Lord in prayer. In so doing, they had caused the people to lose the prosperity that He had given them. A brute does not act like a human being, not like a son of God, but like an animal; a beast of the field.

Chapter 10:22 (KJV)

22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the north country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons.

The Lord told Jeremiah that He would make the country desolate and destroy Jerusalem, that they were walking after their own imaginations and after their father's god, Baalim, as they had been taught in the past.

This was not the city that Abraham had left Ur to find. It was a city that had been made by the hands of man and not by the hand of the Lord. Was everything that God had brought them as His people, brought them out of captivity and blessed them, for nothing?

Jeremiah prophesied to king Zedekiah that they would not prevail against the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans which were assembled outside the walls of Jerusalem. Their weapons would be turned against them and they would eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and of their friends that stood by them in the siege of the city.

Had the people heard the words of Jeremiah that came from the Lord, they might have repented of their sins and avoided the decay of their country which led to the Babylon captivity. However, the idolatry and depravity that Israel had fallen into in the time of Jeremiah's prophetic mission were already consuming Jerusalem and Judah as a whole. It is a regrettable part of Israel's history that they ignored the prophets that God sent them and were repeatably driven into captivity and the erosion of their culture and traditions.

Even so, the Lord continued with Israel to persevere against Satan and the religious and spiritual practices they were subject to from their history. At times when their hearts returned to Him and they put their iniquity behind them; He would bless them. It is the very nature of God to forgive and forget the sins of the past and re-establish a covenant with his people, when they repent of their sins.

Songs in the Night

It's nice to enjoy the quiet of the night. The traffic has dissipated and the neighbors retire along with their children and, hopefully, their animals. Night is a time for reflection; of the day and of our plans for tomorrow. I work at night on the web and there is no phone, no construction work, and no pop-ins to distract me from creative thought. I really do hope it is creative. It's so important to do something new. So many churches sing the same hymns over and over until they wear out their hymnals and have to go buy more of the same hymnals for worship.

I do like to listen to music while I'm working. Usually, Jaci Velasquez is like a companion to me. I sometimes kid around; suggesting that she is here with me. If she ever reads my messages she probably knows that my mind sort of works that way. Still, I am a long time fan and her music is like a daily ritual for me now. Especially since I figured out how to turn my Dell into a fairly good Stereo.

I don't just listen to Christian and Latin music, though. I have a collection of oldies that I listen to also. I know there are some ministers who say you should only listen to Christian music. I'm sorry, I'm not Amish and I believe in being a part of the world that I am supposed to help subdue. I know that the Lord inspired even that dull, emotionless music that passes for worship but I think he likes new things, too. Even though some people seem to draw something from hearing "Just as I am" for the ten thousandth time. After all, I can't think of any song that has won more hearts.

I still remember standing on the deck of the U.S.S. Dahlgren; hearing songs at night that were sung in a different language. And I remember the lights that brightened an otherwise gloomy night shore panorama. Yes, God inspires all music. Even that which is sung at black masses; in a twisted way, because He had to have been on the mind of the writer at least to some extent. Music pours out from the Lord; just like light emanates. from Him. Just like goodness and mercy fill the air around Him. As if you could avoid hearing the music. As if you could actually bypass God. His Word is expressed even in a quiet breeze.

Being Stiff-necked

He, THAT being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

Wow! It's really not cool to be called stiff-necked by God. Then to be destroyed without remedy? You know that can't be good. A certain rich man was destroyed without remedy and look what happened to him.

ST. LUKE 16:24

...send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Zech. 14:12; Is. 66:24; Mark 9:44

Yeah, it's really not cool to be stiff-necked where the poor are concerned. I'm not condemning the rich. I believe that the Lord wants us all to prosper. Try to remember how He even felt mercy for the leaders of Jerusalem and the rich man who was not willing to part with his riches to follow Christ in His mission. But read the context of Luke 16:24. The man in that story was feasting at his bountiful table; even while he gave scraps to Lazarus who waited under the table for some morsel to find its way to him. I'm sure you've heard or read this scripture before and we've all been there. Faced with the prospect of giving of ourselves to a homeless person; we can only be thankful that we have a table with all we need to survive and be content with ourselves. Maybe you aren't familiar with this story but the situation must have arisen when you were faced with a decision about whether to help someone or not.

I'm not just referring to alcoholics who are usually enabled by our pity. I'm talking about people who have no hope of being lifted from their situation in life. I'm sure you have seen ads which try to promote assistance to indigent people in foreign lands. The depressed faces, the dirt, the disease, the displacement, all these things are abominable to the poor of the world. Yet they remain homeless or depressed or hungry or displaced and hopeless, frustrated, and neglected. Some face all these horrors and more.

You know, you really don't have to contribute to missions to help someone less fortunate than you. They are everywhere. Apathy only breeds more grief for everyone. I am not being a Taoist about this. It takes giving and receiving to alleviate some of the pain of this world. That can only happen when we open our hearts to the experience of taking in and giving out mercy even as Christ operated in mercy and gave of the fullness of himself for all of us. His mercy came from the Father and was meant to be extended to all men.

If for once in the parade of man on this planet we would learn to exercise this dual principle; we might just stand the slightest chance of winning this war and achieving the blessing that was meant for us since the beginning of our existence. believe me when I say that I am fighting a war of my own. It is not because I am lacking in any area of my life but only because I am trying to participate in a way that I never have known before. We all need to LOVE OUT LOUD!

The Search for a Caveman

This story is true but I have left out names and other info because I can do that.

In an obscure region of India a poor farmer (and there are many) was feeling very bad about his lot in life. He was a hard working man with a building and the ability to do his work and maintain a respectable appearance and stature. But there was something missing in his life and he was greatly troubled. With limited resources to ease his internal suffering he became more troubled and very sad.

Just when he was feeling that he had enough of all of it, he met a man. This man was a missionary from a well known organization with extensive web resources and the man was friendly. The man told him about Jesus and all the Lord had to offer for him. Still, the poor farmer was not happy about the idea of putting stock in what this god had to offer. With some experienced witnessing and urging, the missionary finally got the farmer to visit a church service.

There he happened to hear about healing and he heard that Jesus had raised people from the dead. This spoke strongly to the farmer's heart for he had just lost his cow and the death of the cow meant that he would have a great deal of trouble tending to his fields. In fact it would be impossible to do the work he needed to do.

But would this Jesus be able to heal a dead cow the way he had raised people from the dead? The man decided to pray.

He was never to forget the day that his cow was lifted to her hooves and regained health and strength. However, there is more to the story. The man felt a great urge to tell someone about his experience in a country where Christians are often greatly punished and threatened with death for their beliefs. He happened to hear a loud cry from a hill nearby and, being curious, he went to the place where the cry had come from.

It was a man with tattered clothes and disheveled appearance who had come from the mountain nearby. The man literally had nothing but the clothes on his back and the farmer was moved to help him. After telling the "caveman" about Jesus the men became friends and the caveman began to be a great help with the work on the farm. As I said, this is a true story. The missionary was a man from Gospel for Asia missions which I featured on the Missions page of my website, Web Ev.

Because there is a great effort to relieve flood victims in some regions in India, I was given a page from GFA which I hadn't read an Email from in some time.

The Nine-tailed Fox

I was just complementing a fellow webwriter who had "adopted a nine tailed fox". Pretty wild, huh? It was also quite imaginative and beautiful in a gamer kind of way; you know what I mean? It is really amazing what you can do with one of these persnickety machines. And I just basically write text messages and fiction and post a picture or graphic once in a while.

I wrote early on in my web experience that the children of evil had gotten way ahead of the Church with the use of the internet. Well, "children" are using the web to express many things from personal relationships to deep things in their spirits. It is a creative medium; not limited by pixels or gigabytes or even terabytes.

I was using a global geodesic survey map called "Google Earth" and got pretty involved. The next thing I knew, Microsoft had set up shop in my system to increase my virtual memory. What does that mean? I don't know where they are putting the memory. I don't usually burn much up, other that pictures. Most of my writing is stored on the web. Well, not true, there's always backup and similar copies; and I am just getting started. But if anyone tells me I need a bigger computer to handle this stuff I'm going in with an extraction tool and pull out everything I don't need!

2012 Just Another Year in Paradise

You needn't be afraid of the events projected for 2012. The Lord brought Daniel safely out of the lion's den, didn't he? Shadrack, Meshach, and Tobedwego out of the firey furnace, right? And Solomon out of that little scandal with Bathsheba too! By the way, they had a wonderful son who lived in Ethiopia and by all accounts "stole" the Ark of the covenant (smart move,... I forgot his name) Still, it is believed that the Ark is still in Axum and in premo condition. Oh yeah, the son's name was Menilik and he was said to be the very image of Solomon. Maybe it was Solomon and Bathsheba.

But wait a minute. It wasn't Solomom and Bathsheba in the Bible. No it was David and Bathsheba. Or am I only calling her Bathsheba because she took a bath in David's sight.

And is the Ark really still in Axum, Ethiopia? Or is the Ark still in Lake Zwai where it was taken to protect it from the she-devil, Gudit, who burned many churches in Tigray and elsewhere in Ethiopia. But how did I get on the subject of the Ark of the Covenant, anyway. Oh yes, it was taken from Jerusalem because it wasn't safe there. Surely the priests in the temple were aware of the "theft" even before it was committed. Incidently, the book that told the account of how the Ark was taken to Debra Zion in Lake Zwai had the pages ripped out that told of that very event. Anyway, I suppose it's pointless bringing up all these legends when all I was supposed to do is discuss 2012. This is what Graham Hancock wrote in his conclusion to his book "The Sign and the Seal" about the whereabouts of the Ark. So too those humans who are summoned to the Ark - for Ark and Grail are one in the same. I, for my part, however, was never worthy enough. I knew it even as I traversed the waste land. I knew it as I approached the sanctuary chapedle. I know it still. And yet... And yet... 'my heart is glad, and my very soul rejoices, and my flesh also shall rest in hope.'

Incidently, it wasn't Bathsheba, it was the Queen of Sheba. And Menelik traveled all the way from Sheba to Jerusalem to assume the role of protector of the Ark. Was Sheba a part of Ethiopia? It seems like it was right next to it.

Now what did I start out writing? Oh yes, the year 2012. Well, it's only three years away and that should leave enough time to address the problem of what to do about the events that are projected for two thousand twelve. Anyway the Ark of the covenant is taken out once a year for a ceremony called Timkat in January.

Graham Hancock wrote in his book: 'So if I come back next January will I have a chance of seeing the Ark?'

The monk looked up at me in a way that I found strangely disconcerting and then said: 'You must know that there is turmoil and civil war in the land... Our government is evil, the people oppose it, and the fighting comes closer every day. In such circumstances it is unlikely that the true Ark will be used again in the ceremonies. We cannot risk the possibility that any harm might come to something so precious... Besides, even in time of peace you would not be able to see it. It is my responsibility to wrap it entirely in thick cloths before it is carried in the processions...'

Now what about 2012? The theory is that at some time in the year two thousand and twelve the sun, and consequently our solar system will pass through the very center of the galaxy causing a tremendous increase in magnetic and gravitational fields which will likely cause calamitous effects all over the globe. Of course, the very center couldn't be right. It was meant that we will pass through the disk of the Milky Way. If we went through the very center our planet might be swallowed by a black hole millions of times more powerful than we know. But then we wouldn't know because we have never been through one yet. If it is as bad as the movie trailer, it will make global warming look like a bad day at the beach. What do I know about it? well, I'm not a cosmologist. My science was Electrical and Electronic theory. I only know that if you put field sources together you increase the field strength of the sources indirectly to their proximity. So yeah, gravity could perhaps be effected. But more than that, fluxuations in the gravity field could cause earthquakes. Of course, out planet is subject to earthquakes and gravity fluxuations all the time. The circuit of the moon causes fluxuations in the earth's gravity that tips the huge oceans every day. It's called "the tides". What about the possibility of a "celestial hit". One like the giant abrasion that made Yosemite. You see, no one can give you the whole picture without boring you to tears with physics and bad guesses.

Personally, I think the monks in Axum have the Ark; they just don't understand what makes it so powerful. If they knew how to build one, they wouldn't have to protect the one they have. They could just make a new one any time they wanted to. If they do want to they had better hurry. Two thousand twelve will be here before they know it.

And it was Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. It wasn't a scandal because Solomon had many wives and he didn't take the Queen of Sheba in the temple anyway.

Daniel's Revelation

Daniel Chapter 12

8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Daniel had prayed earnstly for the vision which Gabriel (with Michael's help) had given him. And in verse 7 two other men that he had seen on the river Hiddekel had brought him the number of days associated with the time of the end which had been asked by one of the two who was on the bank. When the man who stood on the bank asked him (in verse 6) "How long shall it be to the end of these wonders; he was refering to the fate of the sanctuary (ch. 8:13). The man who stood on the water swore an oath to God and said it would be for a time, times, and a half (or the dividing of time). And the man also said it wouldn't take place until the power of the holy people was scattered. The fate of the sanctuary was to be destroyed by prince Titus of Rome on his arrival to Jerusalem as Caesars proxy. This was prophesied by the Lord Himself while He was in Jerusalem. The temple was leveled to its base by prince Titus' men. This is when the Jewish people began to leave their homeland; when their beloved temple was destroyed. For many it meant the end of the Jewish culture. However, in verses 11 and twelve:

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

That is three years and one half year, or a time, times (twice) and the dividing of time (half a time or one half year). Three and one half years roughly. Add twelve point 483 days to get a good estimate. That is three and one half years and twelve and a half days.

12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

There is a difference of 45 days. forty five days after the abomination of desolation is set up. Three and one half years fifty seven and one half days after the daily sacrifice is taken away until the time he(Blessed is he that waiteth) would have to wait until to be blessed.

The problem is trying to discover when the daily sacrifice will be taken away. If we reason that the beast (or the son of perdition) is the one who takes away the sacrifice and make the leap of faith to believe that is when he will be revealed, it would seem reasonable that the Lord will come fifty seven and one half days after the abomination of desolation takes place. 2 Thessolonians 2:3 assures us that the son of perdition will come before Jesus returns. Now if you know what the abomination of desolation is, you will know how to count the days after the sacrifice is taken away or after the abomination of desolation occurs. one thousand three hundred thirty five days after the sacrifice is taken away or forty five days after the abomination of desolation takes place. There are old testament accounts of the Philistines commiting the abomination of desolation which refer to idolatry and human sacrifice.

What about the Great Tribulation? Oh, you'll know when that comes, if you are still here.

John Chapter 11

Jesus had just raised Lazarus from the dead!

When some of the Jews who had witnessed the resurrection told the Jewish leaders what they had seen and heard they were obviously afraid to forward this information on to the Romans for fear they would be deposed. In fact, the Romans did depose many priests who had been reluctant to impose Roman customs on the populace.

They knew that Jesus had witnessed to many in Judea and had performed many miracles. They knew the Romans had experienced great difficulty with several others who claimed to be the Messiah. Certainly one more would not be tolerated. They would surely be subject to sanctions on their authority. The Romans had already imposed their way of life on Judea and had no intentions of relaxing the grip they held on the country.

Paul and Silas resisted the authority that was in place in that time by preaching the gospel in Macedonia after the resurrection of Christ. They spoke openly, exorcising a woman who had a spirit of divination and had been making a lot of money for her masters.

Ac 16:21

and they teach customs which are not lawful for us, being Romans, to receive or observe."

You see, Paul was legally a Roman citizen and the Jews were under Roman law, being citizens of a country which had been conquered by the Romans. But the Romans were afraid of the sway that Paul and Silas would have on the people and caught them and forced them to be seen by the rulers in the marketplace. Then Paul and Silas prayed and there was a great earthquake as a result. The doors of the prison were opened by the quake but Paul and Silas refused to leave when the keeper of the prison told the magistrate. Even though the magistrate had ordered them to be let go peacefully.

Ac 25:16

To them I answered, "It is not the custom of the Romans to deliver any man to destruction before the accused meets the accusers face to face, and has opportunity to answer for himself concerning the charge against him.'

Ac 28:17

And it came to pass after three days that Paul called the leaders of the Jews together. So when they had come together, he said to them: "Men and brethren, thought I have done nothing against the people or the customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,

In this way Paul demonstrated that, rather than allow the gospel to be spread in the Romans' occupied country, they would persecute their own people and remove them from their homes. The history of Christianity is laden with accounts of rulers resisting the power of Jesus Christ and his followers. The Romans are, of course, strongly representative of this social dynamic, having crucified countless Christians and Christian sympathisers since the crusifixion and resurrection of Christ.

What did Jesus have to say about this problem?

Mt 5:25

Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

Not that you can't be a witness to the gospel or serve the Lord in prison. But Jesus knew that prison is a wretched place to have to be and He didn't like the idea of one of His own being subjected to it. Yet many Christians have resisted unrighteous authority ever since the glory of God was revealed in the resurrection because of their love for our Savior and His mission.

The Goodness of God...

Romans 2:4

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Here again it is important to read verses in context. Romans 2 is about judgement. God's judgement provides that good works will be judged according to merit (of the one doing the works). If we show our love for the Lord by obeying the law of love and doing good to others it is counted as goodness by Him because the act comes from love for Him and His creation. However, if we say that we believe His Word and do that out of a desire for gain and glory; we speak out of foolishness and ignorance of God's existence and who He is. It is foolish because God is evident even without the Law written by Moses and we experience how his statutes operate in our own very existence.

I remember interrupting a conversation that a handful of technicians in an appliance service store were having when a man blurted: "Well, I know I'm going to Hell and that's a fact! I was shocked that anyone would dare say such a thing about God's judgement without realizing he was judging himself out of ignorance. Then later I remember thinking that the man actually sounded sincere and, at least on some level, he didn't appear to be joking.

I thought: maybe he is just taking the first step toward salvation. Since repentance is necessary to accepting that Jesus had to purchase our
salvation by dying on the cross and everything that he did through his experience of crucifixion; you have to come to that conclusion about your
merit before God to understand what you are receiving. If there was not a
real danger of damnation there would have been no reason for Jesus Christ to die or even preach about the danger of Hell.

That is the goodness of God that He convicts us, through His Spirit, that we are in need of a Saviour to redeem us from our own judgement and failure to abide in the mercies of God through lack of understanding.

Romans 13:11

11 And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. NIV

About the internet:

Q: Is the internet a good environment for our children?

A: No

Q: What value does the internet have for people at large?

A: Some people have used it to make money and disseminate information to a wide variety of people and some have used it to promote new methods and technologies.

Q: Can the average person benefit by using a computer?

A: Only if they know how to use computers and the internet to achieve their goals efficiently; and if they learn to avoid the pitfalls built in to many applications.

Q: But if the internet is not a good environment for children, what good is it?

A: Just like TV, the web is only useful if it is harnessed like a beast of burden or a dangerous animal. Anti- virus, spam, and adware have helped eliminate problems; and filters have helped to make for a "cleaner" workspace. Problems can arise whenever several people use the same computer and files. However, it is possible to administrate for proper use in terms of security, file maintenance, and reliable site use.

Ephesians 1:10 tells us that the Lord will gather all things together in Christ. All things including whatever is a part of our experience on the earth, including technology. It says all things.

My recommendation: Treat this technology as a tool. Bear in mind that sometimes tools can be weapons and be prepared to practice Christian warfare online or off. Programs like blogs can make it easier to deal with being interactive online but we must control the experience and not let it control us. There are plenty of people working for the enemy that have more knowledge than we may but Christ has given the believer knowledge that they can't even dream about.

A Man of Action

About a century after the return from exile, a high official of the king of Persia, Nehemiah, heard distressing news from Jerusalem. The struggling community of returned Jews was being harassed by local enemies. Nehemiah secured permission from the king of Persia to do what he could to establish this community more firmly.

Armed with this royal authority, Nehemiah persuaded the Jews to put up a wall around Jerusalem, clear away the ancient rubble, and designate families to live there. This being done, Nehemiah then called a solemn assembly at which the scribe Ezra read the book of the law and the people vowed to obey the covenant faithfully. Nehemiah then enforced the sabbath rules and broke up mixed marriages.

The highlight of the book of Nehemiah is the reading of the law by Ezra. Christians as well should show a continuing willingness to be instructed from the sacred Scriptures.

Nehemiah chapter 1

Nehemiah found out that some of the Jews that were left in captivity had escaped and were being afflicted and harassed. The wall of Jerusalem was broken down and the gates had been burned. When Nehemiah heard these things, he sat down and cried. He went into mourning for days, fasted, and prayed to God. He asked the Lord to listen to him with His eyes open so that He would hear Nehemiah's prayer. He prayed day and night for Israel and confessed their sins, and he prayed for himself and his father for their failure to keep the commandments, the statutes, and the judgements of Moses.

Nehemiah knew that God could very well scatter Israel among all the nations. But if they returned to the Lord's commandments and do them the Lord would gather them from wherever they were and place them where His name would be established. Nehemiah asked for prosperity for the people and mercy because God had redeemed them by His strong hand.

And Nehemiah went out at night with a few men and examined the walls and the gates of Jerusalem. Then he found water for the mule he was riding and returned through the valley gate. He told no one what he had done. Then he appealed to the Jews, the priests, the nobles, and the rulers of the people to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem so that there would be no more reproach.

But Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian heard about what Nehemiah was doing and laughed them all to scorn with all their hate and said:

"What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king?" chap. 2:19

20 Then answered I them, and said to them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem. Ezra 4:3

Then the men rebuilt what had been destroyed and all their work is recorded in chapter 3 of Nehemiah.

It can be difficult to do a task that you know is right to do if you are opposed by men with hate and scorn. However, Nehemiah obeyed what he knew was righteous in the eyes of God and took up the task and accomplished it. That is why there is a book of Nehemiah and unfortunately no book of Sanaballat or Horonite or Tobiah nor Geshem or the...

The Path to Repentance

Always be quick to repent. Whatever sin you may have committed; God will forgive you immediately if you pray and ask for forgiveness. It is a hard, hard lesson to learn for many people. However, if you don't learn to change your mind about sin quickly you may develop
the habit of hiding it at all costs and only do yourself harm. Sin, like a persistent mouse, will exhaust itself trying to squeeze its way through the door of your heart. Once it has found just enough room, it takes up residence there and proceeds to try and make the place habitable. If that means persuading you to go against what reasonable people in authority tell you, sin will oblige. Then it will resist outside influence through stubborn types of behavior or deception or just simply by hiding its intent from everyone who tries to dissuade you. This is where the Devil does the most damage, by operating in group situations.

Exodus 32:12

Where for should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

It was Moses' mission to lead the Children of Israel out of bondage in Egypt and deliver them to the promised land. Moses may not have been the one most qualified to lead an expedition through the wilderness but he trusted God. The only problem was that God had in mind a mission of His own. You see, the Hebrews (as Egyptian slaves) had become dirty while in bondage to Egypt's Pharaoh. Not just dirty from hard labor, but dirty inside; in their hearts. Moses gave them a full routine of worship to the Lord. Unfortunately, this wasn't satisfactory to the Egyptian mindset.

Instead the children of Israel casually made themselves a golden calf to worship in defiance of Moses' directions. Of course, Moses destroyed the calf and used it to punish the people for their disobedience. Unfortunately, that was only a temporary solution to a spiritual crisis. The people continued to resist Moses' leadership throughout their journey which lasted until a new generation of Israelites had been raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord. This was a form of repentance by succession. The Lord had determined that if he couldn't bring the children of Israel into repentance that he would have their righteous children for His people. Don't think for one minute that God won't choose a child over an adult if their attitude is right. This same God who wore out the children of Israel on the trail to the promised land took a young shepherd out of the field and made him into a fierce warrior.

But that happened later in the History of the Israelites. That happened at a time when they had settled land and appointed kings to rule over them in God's place.

Now if you study the maps of this period it should become clear why Abraham traveled through this region.

All of the country south of Ur, where Abraham (Abram) hailed from was desert. If you examine the maps carefully, you might even try to figure out what areas Abraham was familiar with just by examining the topography between the eastern end of the Euphrates River and the region described in the Bible verses above.

Why is the city mentioned in Revelation a mystery.

Chapter 17:18

And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

What city meeting the description has ever reigned over the earth?

It wasn't a mystery to Martin Luther, the founder of the Lutherin church; who found it intolerable that someone should be encouraged to try and buy their way into the Kingdom.

But that was long after the city burned.

But the entire city didn't burn. It's still there. Only the outskirts were burned; where the Christians and Christian sympathizers lived.

If you read closely the Book of Revelation, you will find that the city isn't destroyed by fire. The city is destroyed by violence. The world order is going to be destroyed by violence if there is not repentance for the sins commited against the Children of God.

That really is not a mystery.

Plagerism is not Blasphemy

Try to do a copy and paste like we used to do with text that we found most anywhere on the web. It's not always easy like capturing an image off the web. There has been an issue with copyrights almost since the very beginning of the Internet. Warner Bros. was one company that safeguarded copy written material early on. The Internet has proved to be big business for some companies and organizations who reside there on countless sites; some of which are quite profitable.

The Christian experience with this technology is not an exception. It is common practice to make reference to the version of the bible you use to make excerpts from. There is an interest held in the use of this material for conducting enterprises which center around the Church or other organizations which use the bible. However, I can write a sermon using quotes from famous men without revealing the source of my own personal comments and that can be published. God is the most published "writer" there is. Perhaps because He doesn't enforce a copyright on His work.

Using someone's words is not plagiarism, but taking credit for someone Else is like blasphemy. Now do you see where the trouble lies? King James did not take credit for the translation of the Bible in 1611. He knew that would be considered blasphemy. Never-the-less, the leading theological and language experts gave it their best shot and created something that has stood the test of time, at least until recently. Let's try an experiment. Open an online copy of the King James Version and try to copy and paste some of the text. Let's do that right now: ..................

What did you find out? I can still copy and paste the bible everywhere. Well, not everywhere. Blogger won't let me do it. And you thought I was going to prove the Bible was being held hostage, didn't you? Well that depends on whether you have access to web hosting. So far, I do. However my biblical excerpts are hand transcribed to my Blog. That makes it so important to remember not to add anything or take anything away; unless we add the Word.

A Brief Study in the Origin of WWIV

The story of Adam and Eve is prehistoric. We know this because it predates recorded history, being passed from generation to generation. Abraham's ancestors were recorded on wooden staffs that were quite long and were used to control sheep as in Moses' day. We know for a fact that there was one, single human woman (Homo sapiens) who's womb was the solitary source of
Homo sapiens on the planet. Research has been performed on the human genome to establish the fact that there was a single source for the human genome. Also anthropologists have traced the location of the beginning of the species to a place congruent with the Tigris and Euphrates "rivers". I put "rivers" in quotes because the rivers have since flooded in the location and produced a great body of water.

A great deal of the migration undertaken subsequent to this new species was from the Euphrates to the coastal Asian regions northwest of Australia.

Adam and Eve lived in an area that can easily be assumed to have been fertile with opportunities of migration all over Africa, Europe and Asia. The reason their progeny has been associated with the middle east is because there was the location of the Euphrates. Vineyard ism was favorable in the region where Noah found himself so his generations found no need to pursue better farmland. Also there was grazing for animals and plants grew in the fertile soil. It wasn't until Abraham left his family in Ur (in search of a kingdom which had been revealed to him spiritually); that Abraham and his generations became nomadic and inhabited desert lands.

Now the Judea-Christian faith owes its beginnings to the inspiration that Abraham (formerly Abram) received in Ur. Thus we can trace our faith all the way back to Ur, Mesopotamia where Iraq is today and the ancestral home (of our species) is in the same area near the Tigris and Euphrates river. What an amazing coincidence that we are now focusing our attention militarily at the site of our species birth. Or is it?

As the Lightning is From...

I can hear the rumbling of thunder off in the distance. My little apartment has a well extended roof with gutters and I keep the window fans blowing softly against the heat that is still left of summer. As the lightening approaches I can feel the movement of the earth in my feet and see the little flashes of light, and the rain makes waterfall sounds all around.

The title is not perfect If it had been meant to refer to scripture it would read "...as the lighting is from...". A subtle difference in terms of the letters but quite a different meaning. Lightning or "Lightening" is produced by the exchange of ions in the clouds. Lighting refers to the movement or appearance of the Sun. However, lightening does not start in the air above us. It travels first from the ground upwards and creates a trail of vacuum. Then the air ignites and the flash is seen to travel from the clouds to the earth. If you had ever been struck by lightening it would have proceeded from the ground near your feet and tore a hole upward.

It is almost like the earth is lashing out at the power coming in the heavens and giving the appearance that the backlash is really unprovoked. This is not a true picture of God. He doesn't automaticly reciprocate in kind to an offense. At any rate, you shouldn't be afraid of lightening. We fear the thunder but when we hear it that means the great static current is discharged because the vacuum collapses at the same time the flash of lightening appears. In other words; you can't hear it coming.

The same is true about many things in life. We get no advanced warning until the danger is past and the damage is done. Great catastrophes can occur as if their onslaught were a whisper. That is why the Lord warns us in many ways about various dangers. If you ever tried to touch a flame as a child you probably got a clue to the subtle "bite" of the heat before you were badly burned. It is all important to heed warnings when they are given to us.

A sudden change in the weather should tell us to prepare for a storm just as the sudden flight of birds can signal the approach of a predator. However, some warnings begin from very far off in space or in time. Sometimes the warning becomes more and more pronounced as the danger advances until our response is finally automatic because it was conditioned by the buildup in our minds.

Ideally, prophecy should be like that. It should give us warning well in advance that something we aren't perceiving is going to happen. When Israel was gathered from out of the world at the end of World War II and her people funneled through Cyprus we should have recognized the warning and completed the harvest before the storm was upon us. Now we have roughly three years to complete the mission and reap that which belongs to the husbandman.

This morning I am sending a gift to a mission. I hope it will be enough to save a few souls from the "damage" the earth has in store. Count the days, saints. It won't be long now.

Love is Tough

It's hard to believe it's morning already. It really is hard when someone is staring at you and the "music" hasn't begun yet. A certain young singer's face appeared this morning in my monitor. It was one of the pictures in my screensaver photo slideshow. Random things happen; always with a reason. Creativity is random; chaos as some artists might say. It is wonderful when a seemingly random event, at some point, leads to Kismet. If I'm allowed to say that. I am in an informal mood. It happens quite often. I may even share some scripture with you. Informally, of course.

Proverbs 22:6

6 Train up a child
in the way he should go.
and when he is old
he will not depart from it.

I am transcribing from my personal Bible; the one I chose myself. You should be careful to cross reference this scripture as I don't wear reading glasses and I won't be exhaustive in my message. I chose Proverbs 22 purely at random. I sometimes do that just to show that the Word has a positive effect in any situation. For instance; "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" is an expression that was meant to limit retribution rather than to encourage it. So we must be with our children. If a child does not have limits he/she will grow up wild and unfettered. Some would say that is just fine but I say this truthfully:

"You must set your sites higher for your child's sake. "

It has broken my heart more times than I care to tell you to see young people, as well as old, allow evil to have free reign in their lives. It is not difficult to be reserved and still act appropriately when offenses raise their ugly heads. However, it is easy to let slip an act that can never be withdrawn and has eternal consequences.

I am not saying "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" should apply with every lesson applied by a parent. If we struck a child every time he struck us or responded in kind even once when he or she said: "I hate you!" we would only serve to escalate the issue. Discipline must always be administered with love. If you offend a child, don't hesitate to show love by saying: "I'm sorry, hon' " or some gesture of apology. It would be so simple to avoid needless violence like we have seen regularly and at every turn if we would keep this in mind always. Even when we have to apply "tough love". Raising a child in the fear and admonition of the Lord must include love. Just as love is always included by Him.

Even when He doles out some chaos of His own.

Judgement and War

Revelation 19:11

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Who is worthy to sit in judgement before the whole earth and declare the overcomer as well as the defeated in life as well as in war and death. Verse twelve goes on to say that his eyes were to John the disciple as a flame of fire, he wore many crowns; and no one knew his name as it is written but Him. He has been named "Jesus" but he is more than a deliverer. His future is firmly fixed in the earth as a judge and the King of Glory.

His prayer, as it was written, quoted Him as saying: "Let it be done in earth as it is in heaven."

Therefore, He has proclamed judgement and also war as it was when Lucifer (by whatever name) was cast out to the earth to gather his minions to war against the Spirit of God. The "minions" I speak of included not only the angels who were cast out with him; but also the troops that he would muster among the inhabitants of the earth who were born on the earth and therefore subject to judgement with the rest of God's creation.

Who was to lead Heaven's forces against the former archangel, called "Satan" by his followers? Said prince would be responsible for vanquishing all the evil now intruding on the earth. He would have to be well equiped in spiritual warfare and emminently qualified to muster His own army against all the powers of darkness in residence on the earth and in the earth. A resident of the planet would be chosen; leaving the Father of Heaven to watch dilligently over his chosen one to ensure His survival as well as His kingdom over the earth and the evil thereof. A good leader equips his army with everything they need to occupy the land and to defeat the enemy. Judgement is called for in those who wage war with any hope of success. Jesus was successful in defeating the Devil's hold over the earth and is therefore emminently qualified to sit in judgement and declare His verdicts over His defeated enemies as well as all the inhabitants of the world which His Father created with His own Spirit.

Can you dare to say there is a man of your own number that you would choose to fill that position? If you do, I want to tell you, his name better be the same as the one that the Lord Jesus Christ knows as His own.

Let There Be Lights

Colossians 1:12, 17, 18

12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Verse 12 reminds us to give thanks to the Father; (for what we have already received)
who has qualified us to be partakers (sharers).

Verses 17 & 18 are referring to Jesus and His preeminence. (and that He has, already, preeminence in all things.)

The meaning is quite clear. He is the one who has everything to share. Therefore, if I don't share Jesus with you; how am I qualified to share any thing of substance with anyone. I don't think I can make it any easier than that. Christ is an easy sell. He speaks for himself.

Genesis 1:14

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Scientific explanation: While there is no way to determine the time frame for these events due to the hyper-relativistic nature of the velocities involved at the moment of creation, one event appears to have explanable cause:

The moon was formed out of the earth while our planet was still in a molten state. This formation was caused by the collision of a Mars-sized planet which simultaneously set the rate of rotation and inclination of both the earth and the moon. An analogy might be a cue ball striking two of the numbered balls on the table and sending them spinning at different rates of rotation. The moon was stabilized in a set rotation and its moment of inertia, as the smaller orb, caused it to face our planet. The earth's rotation and frequency of orbit around (and distance from) the sun were, of course, also effected in a like manner.

These events set the length of the day, the phases of the moon, the length of the year and climatic conditions of the earth. Also the conditions of the moon's formation gave it an ashy surface which determined the moon's reflected level of light energy. One could offer the conclusion that this was a random event which by coincidence produced the exact conditions for life on this planet. What they don't tell you is that there are any number of variables which effected the proliferation and adaptability of the countless number of species on this planet. Mainly explained by meteorology, or the effect of meteorites and other objects and particles.

Now if you factor in the possibility of a rapid cool-down of the Universe due to celestial velocities being naturally constrained as a result of the speed limit imposed on light and also on mass; Well... who's to say what the chances were.

Of course, I'm sure there are many with their own explanations. However, please don't go worshiping Mars for its involvement. You won't affect my vent or frustrate God who loves to make things mysterious.
